On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and to celebrate this centenary, on the afternoon of June 25th, the Party Committee of individual private enterprises in Chengyang District led and organized members of various Party branches to collectively watch the movie "Singing for the Nation."
The movie primarily tells the story of the People's musician, Comrade Nie Er, and his process of composing the national anthem. In an era filled with war, Nie Er made numerous choices in his life's path. He deeply understood that to bring about improvement, one must start with change. Originally, he was the chief of the Bright Moon Opera Society. However, when the society continued to practice decadent music while the Japanese invaders bombed Shanghai, he realized that he needed to take a new path to save the country. He said, "I want to write a song that shouts the people's anger! I hope everyone can sing it." So, he courageously quit his job, took up music as a weapon, awakened the dormant masses, and stirred the indomitable and daring spirit within the Chinese nation's blood. Although the national anthem in "Singing for the Nation" consists of only 104 notes, it is a story of a group of young people who are dedicated to their country's destiny, inspiring and awakening the world with their passion and musical notes, motivating soldiers on the front lines to fight courageously. Every note in it can shout out the people's anger.
Thank you for the Party Committee's "A Hundred Years of Light and Shadow: Red Memories" film viewing event. This excellent film allows us to revisit that humiliating period in Chinese history. It helps us understand the special circumstances in which our national anthem was created. It also shows us that even during China's poorest and darkest times, there were countless patriots striving and sacrificing for the country and the nation... We thank the musician Nie Er, who created song after song reflecting the hardships of the working people. In the end, he turned his deep patriotic passion into the powerful and stirring "March of the Volunteers," composing an enduring chapter for the Chinese nation.
Arise, ye who refuse to be slaves! With our flesh and blood, let us build a new Great Wall!" Whenever we hear this inspiring national anthem, we are reminded of the martyrs who fell in battle. They lived for the new China, and they died for it as well. A sense of patriotism wells up within us. After watching this patriotic film, not only has our love for our motherland been strengthened, but our admiration for the martyrs has also grown.
The thrilling and moving storyline in the film, along with the indomitable spirit and patriotic dedication of Chinese soldiers, deeply touched the Party members and active participants who watched it. Through this film viewing activity, the Party members expressed their commitment to uphold the great national spirit, never forget history, remember the sacrifices of our predecessors, and cherish the current peaceful and prosperous life. They also emphasized the importance of staying true to their original aspirations, keeping their missions in mind, uniting with colleagues, and striving to excel in their work, becoming exemplary pioneers. They aim to be like a bright red flag, and their Party branch a formidable fortress where the Party flag flies high.
