The Difference Between Cold Rolled Coil And Hot Rolled Steel Plate
2022-12-09

Due to the high degree of work hardening and low toughness, cold-rolled coils can achieve a good yield-to-strength ratio and are used for cold-formed spring parts and other parts. The yield point is closer to the tensile strength, so no danger is foreseen during the adoption process. , accidents are likely to occur when the load exceeds the allowable load.

The cold plate is processed by cold rolling, with no oxidation on the surface and good quality. The hot plate uses hot rolling to treat the surface oxide scale, and the thickness of the plate varies. Hot-rolled plates have poor toughness and surface flatness, and are less expensive, while cold-rolled plates have good stretchability and toughness, but are more expensive.

Cold-rolled coils are made from hot-rolled coils and are rolled in a recrystallized state, but are generally understood to be rolled using room temperature rolling materials. Three to six continuous rolling mills are used as cold rolling equipment, including plates and coils.
